For hours upon yours, you have been sitting under the hot summer sun, in the middle of the lake. No nibbles yet. Then suddenly, you feel a slight tug at the end of the line. You yank back the rod at a 45 degree angle, and then turn the reel. As you repeat this drill several times, the bending of the end of your fishing rod tells you that it's a huge catch.
