Doctor's fail to reattach gator victim's arm
11-year-old Devin Funck is expected to survive a vicious attack by an alligator at a Louisiana pond Wednesday, although doctors were unable to successfully reattach the youth's severed arm after recovering it from the dead reptile. Via wire services.

TPWD offers expo (Lampasas Dispatch Record)
The 2008 Texas Parks & Wildlife Expo is set on 35 acres at TPW Headquarters in Austin, 4200 Smith School Rd., on Oct. 4-5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Begun in 1992 as a tribute to hunting, fishing and the great outdoors, the Expo will celebrate its 17th anniversary this year.
