Zipfy's Lightweight, Aerodynamic Mini Luge Is Snow-Day Throwback
It may be little more than a piece of molded plastic, but, boy, does the Zipfy Mini Luge roll down those hills. On a recent test of the sled on some pretty hardcore powder, this $40 toy brought hints of amateur Olympic prowess.

Make A Winter Lists Of Things To Do Next Spring
It’s an easy thing to do. Most of us, including me, know that certain lists must be made and kept up to date. If we don’t write a thought down when we think of it, that chore is easily forgotten. It has happened to me many times in the past. I’ll make a list, be driving to the shop, and suddenly I think of something else that has to be done to one of my ground or tree stands. Enjoy The Outdoors - Your Way, Not Mine
I just got back from the mountains of British Columbia. I spent the week skiing. Well, not exactly skiing. I hate to even admit it, but I spent the week snowboarding. I’ve spent the last 18 years skiing and swore for many years that you’d never ever catch me on a snowboard. To be honest,  I thought [...]

All You Need To Know About Children's Shooting Clothes And More
Over recent years our children's clothing needs have changed and as such the range available is ever expanding. At an earlier age than ever they can be found out in the field, on shoots alongside Mum and Dad. Clothes need to cater for both the child's desire to look "the part" and for the parents' essential requirement that their son or daughter is well protected from the great British weather.

Ocean salmon down
Ocean forecasts for cold water may mean better salmon runs next year, but there's cold water in store for those expecting much offshore this summer. Most streams surveys and hatchery computations are completed and biologists who crunch the numbers are...

Stopped at Bass Pro Shops Orlando Yesterday...
My work travels brought me to Orlando on Tuesday and I was fortunate to have a small window before it was time to go to the airport, so I found myself perusing the aisles at Bass Pro  and gazing into their huge aquarium.  Man there was a ton of 8lb plus largemouth bass in there!!! So here is what I bought: Luck E Strike Bass Magic Shads - there are on of the may  BassTrix imitations out there, seems like a nice bait Yum Big Show Paddle Tail Worms , design by Terry Scroggins, these are great looking worms! Yum Big Show Craws , also by Scroggins, they little critters look like flippin' machines! Well anyways, got a handful of bags of each of these.  Should be a nice addi...

Sorry for the Absence
© By Othmar Vohringer This is a short note to all my readers to say sorry that I did not update the blog as I should have. But such is life when you get a really bad cold and barely able to stand on your feet. A particularly nasty cold bug makes its rounds here in British Columbia. This is one of the new generation bugs that are resistant to all known cold medicines. The cold manifests itself with a sore throat, joint pains and a dry (painful) cough. After about three days the cold goes away only to return a week later again hitting harder. This can go on like that for up to six weeks, I am in the second week now. Everybody in our company has this cold. The ones that suffer less, like me,...
