Are There Any Anxious Fisherman?
Does an anxious fisherman exist? First, I must define anxious and the meaning of the term in the question posed. By anxious we mean stressed out, angry, grouchy, testy, snappy, self absorbed, short tempered or just all around ill mannered in general.

Fly Fishing Tournaments?
Tom Chandler over at TroutUnderground recently posed the question: What if Bassmaster-style competition came to fly fishing? Would that be a good thing? There were lots of responses to the question. Some were for it, some against it, some sickened by it, some took advantage of the opportunity to joke around. [...]

What?s Up?
© By Othmar Vohringer ?Quite a bit! As you have noticed in the past week or so, I have been mostly absent from my blogs. There are several reasons for that, which I will briefly explain to you. First, that cursed flu still has an iron grip on me and wears me down a bit. But mostly I have been busy over the last few days with upgrading my blogs. The Allure of the Field
It is getting to be that time of year when my thinking is almost always focused on getting into the field. In my neck of the woods the days alternate, at this time, between cold and overcast and clear, sunny and warming weather. Spring is but just around the corner; certain signs are all around. Small new leaves on the Mock Orange, American goldfinches showing up more often in their more brilliant mating plumage, and greater activity of my small avian friends in the trees around my house beg me to get ready for an outdoor adventure.

The Privacy Of One's Desk
Snoopsville, MS> Seeing that you were all supportive of Rex?s rules not being specific enough and the fact that I am feeling like my boss is out of town and I can do what I want, I thought I would take a quick peek of the contents in his desk. To my surprise here is what I found: Of course there is a huge picture of Thunderhoof in a frame on his desk, a Thunderhoof mouse pad, Thunderhoof screensaver, and while searching Rex?s blog, to read all about Thunderhoof, I found there are 16 pages containing the word Thunderhoof. Now that is love. And I love this picture of Thunderhoof he has hanging on his wall. Speaking of love, I found a pile of love letters to Denise. After spending half the d...
