Coyote pup collared in Bronx

The Best of Canada Fishing
Molson Lodge, a fly in resort, promises in September that every boat will catch 100-200 lake trout a day. You can also fly in to streams whose fish have never seen a stonefly imitation or an attractor pattern. These are hungry wild trout, not spooky, over fished trout.

This Shark Smiled at Me!
As its head broke the surface of the water it turned toward me, and then looked me straight in the eye and smiled! It was a large brownish tan, blue shark! I know it seems absurd, but I know a smile when I see one and this one was smiling!

What Happened to Old Scratch?
Mooville, MS> Whatever happened to Greg "Old Scratch" Jones? Is he in hiding, prison, or lost in a parking lot somewhere? No. Old scratch has made an investment, and is busy watching it at every moment. Mr. Jones has bought eight cows. I guess he is now a cattleman. Now to work this huge herd of cattle requires a lot of patience and you get this knowledge from the cows themselves. This is how you do it. Go out to your pasture and count the cows each day. If you can not count to eight on your fingers, you may have to take your shoes off. Then you find a nice tall fence post and put your chin on it. This way you can relax till 4 o'clock in the afternon when you have to count the cows again....

Addicted to Flyfishing
Flyfishing happens to take place in the most beautiful surroundings. And the intense concentration one catching a trout can sometimes take your attention away from the nearby scenery. I was once fishing the Firehole River in Yellowstone National Park when down stream from me I saw a nice rainbow feed beside a grassy bank. I kept my eye on him as I waded down to a position to cast for him.

July 4th Holiday Weekend Bass Fishing Recap
No better way to spend a long holiday weekend then doing a little bass fishing!!!  Friday July 4th, I had a guide trip out on Lake Minnetonka.  We launched out of Gray's Bay and kind of stuck to the east end of the lake.  We started throwing some topwater and spinnerbaits over some weedlines that I had caught fish on in the past.  I caught a pike and a nice little bass pretty quick on a Vixen .  We then started working the deeper edge, quickly Daryl boated a bass on a black 10" Power Worm.  I then caught several fish on soft plastics ranging from ring frys, robo worms and Big show paddle tails .  Daryl caught his fair share on a wacky rigged Yamamoto Sen...
