Flooding coincides with more leopard frogs
Flooding along the Mississippi River has coincided with the appearance of thousands of tiny leopard frogs, many of which are congregating in the yard of Shelley Dreifurst of Colona. “I don’t like coming down here, there’s so many frogs,” Shelley Dreifurst told Quad-Cities Online as she walked down her basement stairs. Several frogs sat on the steps, jumping away as human feet approached. In her basement, dozens of frogs leaped in the open.
