Kankakee walleye stocking working
Stocking walleye in the Kankakee River has made a difference in fishing in that river. So says Joshua Joseph in a recent story by Bill Byrns of the Kankakee Daily-Journal. Writes Byrns: Johnson, a walleye man, says fishing is great along his stretch of water between Aroma Park and the Illinois Route 17 bridge. The area yielded three nice walleyes just last week that Johnson caught and released. Illinois man bit on tongue by snapping turtle
Calvin “Clicker” Embry of Wayne City learned the hard way that he can’t hypnotize every turtle. So writes Len Wells in a recent edition of the Evansville Courier & Press. Writes Wells: This bizarre story started to unfold just before dusk this past Fourth of July.
