Deciding on what to fish for may be as much of a challenge as actually catching the fish! Alaska's waters are home to over 600 species of fish. Saltwater fishing specialties are halibut and salmon. Several different varieties of salmon can be reeled in, from small pinks to huge Kings. Halibut is a prize catch; achieving average sizes of 50-60 pounds to over 500 pounds; either way, providing quite a thrilling battle.
