Bull moose permit deadline May 2
Hunters seeking a permit for this fall’s bull-only moose hunt must apply by Friday, May 2, to be included in the lottery. Only those who have not received a permit since 1990 are eligible. Moose hunting, open only to Minnesota residents, became a once-in-a-lifetime hunt in 1991.

Ladies in Camo Closing Down on May 1, 2008
I just got an email that the online Ladies in Camo (L.I.C.) store is closing its doors, or rather, closing their internet connection! Tammy, online store proprietor, states on the website, "As of May 1, 2008 I will close the Ladies in Camo store. I've enjoyed serving each of you! Prices are low and inventory is too so if you want something, don't wait, it may sell out before your next visit." I think this may be a sign that retail competition for outdoor women is heating up. Unfortunately, as more and more retailers offer options for outdoor women, some of the smaller retailers must suffer. Check out some of Tammy's products though - prices are slashed!!
