Book on Ice Fishing
If you are sick and tired of coming home from ice fishing trips empty handed, having to eat fast food instead of delicious pan fish, muskies, walleyes, northern pike, perch, crappies, or rainbow trout then this will be the most important message you read today. First of all let me say thank you for writing such a tremendous a book devoted to ice fishing. ... The best piece of advice I got from the present version of your book is your cat food feeding frenzy secret. I?ve been using just 3 of your many razor sharp techniques and have been quite successful for several months now. Click Here!

The Casey Heine Buck
© By Othmar Vohringer On October 28 I briefly reported about Casey Heine of Bever Dam, Wisconsin and how he got his 35 point archery monster buck in The First 2007 Monster Bucks . Today Casey sent me the story how he got that buck in his own words and you can read it here exclusively at Whitetail Deer Passion. A Wisconsin Monster Buck As told by Casey Heine I left school at UW Oshkosh at 2:50 p.m. and rushed home to hunt the evening of September 28. I finally got into the field at about 4:30 and decided to hunt a stand on the end of a fence line that connects to the marsh. There is a cornfield in front of me, a bean field in back of me, and the marsh to my left. It was a unseasonably warm...

Red Line versus Red Hooks
I have always wondered how they can advertise red fishing line as being invisible to fish yet you always here that fish bite better on red hooks. How can this be? Someone must be lying. Well today I learned the answer on the Huntcast podcast. The answer is that the red color in fishing line is translucent. This translucence will cause the red color to disappear in about 4 feet of water. The red color of a fishing hook is opaque and reflects light which will make the red color visible down past 100 feet. Now I feel better knowing that no one has been lying.

Better Bass Fishing
Guaranteed Better Bass Fishing is a revolutionary guide which emphasizes a thorough approach in dealing with the sport of bass fishing and shakes down useless theories concentrating strictly on what works. The approach itself consists of solid steps, each one firmly connected with the one before it, giving you a framework you can actually use. While the ebook alone won?t make you a professional it will give you the foundation and the edge to become one. You still need practice, but the stumbling in the dark will be over. That is a guarantee I make and by which I stand firmly. Click Here!

Houston waterfowl hunters
For Houston waterfowl hunters, the adults anyway, there is no special season or managed lands permit or other means by which to get an early start. Kids got a crack at the quacks this weekend, but for the rest of us, duck and geese seasons open simultaneously at precisely 30 minutes before sunrise Saturday. The resultant [...]

The Richard Burt Buck
Richard Burt from North Dakota sent this picture and story of his 2007 archery trophy to me and is the first recipient of a signature Othmar Vohringer Outdoors cap. Congratulations Richard on a very nice archery buck and to make it as the first in this small contest I am having here for my readers. I am looking forward to hear of more success stories from my readers. Keep it coming. Story and Photo by Richard Burt Well a storm came through last night, and it's about 15 degrees cooler this morning than it was yesterday, so I was hoping that might stir things up. Within 5 minutes of getting into a stand, a deer came by - it was still too dark to tell, but it excited me nonetheless. One more...
