| Online Fishing Tournament |
|
If you like tournaments and competitions, you're going to love this! A new website called Bounty Fishing has just opened. The concept is simple, you register for a day ( $7 ) or a week ( $19 ), and you're entered in a global online fishing tournament that covers most of the popular freshwater species - walleye included! You can win $1,000 per species per week! For example, if your favorite game fish is walleye, then you take 2 pictures of the biggest walleye you catch during your registration period and submit it before the period ends. One of the pictures is with the fish lying flat on the ground next to a measuring tape. The other pic is you holding the fish horizontally as close to your chest as possible, with no sunglasses on - your eyes must be opened because they use technology that analyzes your eye and other things to validate that you are not cheating. Here is how they explain their validation process: BountyFishing has exclusive rights for the use of world?s most advanced digital imaging forensics software. This software is based on counterfeit digital image detection used by the world?s top law enforcement agencies. BountyFishing?s patent pending measurement technology is used to verify the accuracy of competitive photos and declare authentic winners in the tournaments. Here is how it works: - After your images are uploaded to our database, they are imported into the BountyFishing Forensics software. - The software first detects the image?s authenticity to ensure it is the original photo. - Using the human eye and other reference points in the photo of you holding your catch, the software verifies the accuracy of your ruler. - Finally the length of your fish is measured and validated from the image of the fish and ruler. They require that you use a camera that is 4 megapixel or more (no standard film cameras allowed, no camera phones or videocams either). You must submit a full size hi-rez unaltered jpeg image, just as it comes out of the camera. You are judged on length of the fish , not weight, and the technology they use is apparently fool proof. So it looks like I have a permanent walleye fishing tournament going and I encourage you to try to beat me, and hundreds of other anglers by entering yourself. By the way, this is a new site, a new community, and it is growing, but your odds of winning are extremely high now as you can see by looking at the winners of last week's $1,000 prizes...
