Mike and Richie are due in in just a couple of huors and wouldn't you know it, its raining. You'd think it was me that was going to hunt. I guess I should be glad I'm not the only one this happens to but I was hoping for a little nicer start to our season here. Forecast is calling for quite a bit of rain this week but not much in the way of wind. Temps should be real good for hunting too. I guess I shouldn't fret too much. There's a great story in this month's North American Whitetail about a guy that gets the buck of a lifetime in the rain. Sure makes for a worriesome track though. Not much has gone on this week since Nick went home. Been trying to help get the farm ready for my extended absence during working hours. Have to loosen all the lids and change all the light bulbs so the hunting widow won't have too much of a hassle while I'm out. We ordered the magic cable to get the video of Nick's hunt up on the web. Should be here Tuesday or Wednesday. Hopefully it won't take too long after that to get it up here. Well, I better get after that last minute stuff. Always something that I forget until now. And since I'll be there for the next 5 - 6 weeks.... I'll see you back at the lodge.
