| Really Swarmin' |

Walking over to our old ranch house at 6:00 AM yesterday morning, I looked up and 2 deer were in our garden! Walking on into the house, I grabbed my camera, hoping to get a picture of at least 2 of the deer that had caused the earlier severe depredations. As I walked outside, the 2 deer were already over the fence and trying to look innocent and I was left with no picture. Glancing at the hummingbird feeder, maybe 15 of the little guys were really swarmin? around it. As I snuck over and leaned against a mesquite tree, they all took flight, but I knew they would be back soon, and first back was a female, closely followed by a second. More females came piling in and ?The Boss? thought everything must be OK, so he came on in. That makes 5. Some left and more came buzzing in as I kept snapping! ?The Boss? is still eating as more females hover on in. And finally I got a picture with 9 of the little birds in it. Look real close and, sure enough, 9 in one picture. Trouble is, they won?t hold still! So far this year, that?s tops for me!
