Trackers, especially people who are new to tracking, get a bad rap if they can't identify a track. One of the biggest challenges for those who are learning to track is being confronted by someone who says, "What kind of track is that?" For some reason, people have the misconception that once learned, the skills automatically imbues the tracker with the ability to also identify what animal made the track.
